Hosting & analytics: The Site is hosted on Squarespace and may use Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics (GA4), and advertising pixels (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Pinterest) as part of our marketing stack. We may also use spam‑prevention tools such as reCAPTCHA.
2) How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Site.
Send newsletters and educational updates (generally monthly tips); manage subscriptions and unsubscribe requests.
Analyze Site performance and the effectiveness of our communications.
Detect, prevent, and address technical, security, or misuse issues; and comply with law.
3) Legal Bases & Audience
We serve individuals in the United States. We do not provide GDPR/UK‑GDPR specific disclosures because we do not target EU/UK residents.
4) Sharing of Information
We share information with service providers that help us run the Site and our communications (e.g., Squarespace, Mailchimp, analytics/ad‑measurement providers). These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
5) Cookies, Analytics & Advertising Tools
Cookies/Tracking: We (and our providers) may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for essential functions, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can control cookies in your browser settings and, for some tools, via their opt‑out pages.
Analytics: We may use GA4 and Squarespace Analytics to understand aggregate usage. These tools may set their own cookies or collect identifiers and IP addresses.
Ad Pixels: Where used, platforms like Meta, TikTok, or Pinterest may receive limited usage data to help measure campaign performance. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
6) Email Marketing
When you subscribe, your email is stored in Mailchimp. We use single opt‑in and send monthly tips and related updates. Each message includes an unsubscribe link. You may also request removal by emailing amy@thefiscalfox.co.
7) Data Retention
Marketing contacts: kept until you unsubscribe (after which we take reasonable steps to suppress your email from future sends).
We do not maintain order, shipping, or payment records through the Site at this time.

9) Your Choices
Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in our messages or by emailing amy@thefiscalfox.co.
Cookies/Tracking: Control cookies via your browser/device settings. Some platforms provide additional ad preference controls or opt‑outs.
10) Do Not Track
The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. You can use browser settings and platform‑level controls to limit certain tracking.
11) U.S. State Privacy Disclosures
For residents of states with consumer privacy laws (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah):
Categories collected: identifiers (email; IP address/device identifiers), internet/activity information (site usage), and inferences for analytics.
